Oh, gentle hue of crimson red,
How sweetly doth thy shade be spread,
Upon the feathers of a dove,
Whose gentle cooing speaks of love.

Two men, whose hearts do beat as one,
In secret, love beneath the sun,
And yet society doth frown,
Upon their love, and bring them down.

But still they love, with all their might,
And hold each other through the night,
With a ruby ring, they pledge their love,
And vow to keep it from above.

And as they walk, hand in hand,
With a ruby rose, they take a stand,
Against the hate, and all the strife,
And pledge to love, for all their life.

So let the crimson color shine,
And let the dove, with love divine,
Bring hope and peace, to all who see,
The love between these two men, so free.
