Oh, how the world doth shine with hue,
Of colors bright and bold and true,
And in this realm of vibrant light,
There is a shade that brings delight.

This color, random though it be,
Is green, the color of the sea,
Of leaves and grass and all things fair,
That grow and bloom with tender care.

And in this world of green and life,
There dwells an animal, so rife
With grace and beauty, strength and might,
The lion, king of all in sight.

And with these two, a random thing,
A watch, that ticks and tocks and sings,
A symbol of the passage of time,
And all that comes with love sublime.

For two men, who love each other true,
In this world of green and gold and blue,
Find solace in the lion’s roar,
And in the ticking of time’s score.

For love, it knows no bounds or chains,
And in this world of joy and pains,
The color green, the lion’s might,
And the ticking watch, bring love to light.
