Oh, how the color green doth shine so bright,
Like emerald jewels in the morning light,
A hue so bold, so full of life,
It brings to mind a creature rife.

A beast of strength and grace untold,
A lion, fierce and brave and bold,
With golden mane and piercing eyes,
He roams the savannah, free and wise.

And in the midst of this wild land,
Two men doth walk, hand in hand,
Their love a secret, hidden away,
For fear of what the world might say.

But in each other’s arms they find,
A love that’s pure, and true, and kind,
And though the world may not approve,
Their love doth flourish, strong and true.

So let the color green remind,
Of love that’s pure, and free, and kind,
And let the lion symbolize,
The strength and beauty of their prize.
