In the year 2376, on a small planet in the farthest reaches of the galaxy, two chubby gay men sat on a rock overlooking a vast expanse of blue-green terrain. They had been together for years, having met on a space vessel traveling to this very planet.
As they gazed out at the scenery, one of them, named Thaddeus, noticed a strange object in the distance. It was a small, sleek spaceship, unlike any they had seen before.
“Hey, look over there,” Thaddeus said, pointing to the object. “What do you think it is?”
His partner, named Simon, squinted his eyes and studied the object. “I’m not sure. But it looks like it’s headed this way.”
As the spaceship drew closer, the two men could see that it was piloted by a lone figure. The figure, dressed in a metallic suit, landed the ship a few feet away from them and disembarked.
“Hello there,” the figure said in a robotic voice. “My name is X-45. I come from a distant planet and I have been traveling through space for many years. I have come to this planet in search of a rare mineral that is found here.”
Thaddeus and Simon looked at each other in surprise. They had never encountered an alien before.
“We can help you find the mineral,” Simon said, stepping forward. “But first, can we ask you something?”
X-45 nodded. “Of course.”
“We’re a couple,” Simon said, gesturing to Thaddeus. “Does that bother you?”
X-45 cocked his head to the side. “Bother? No. I do not have the capacity for emotions such as that. But I am programmed to respect all forms of life and love.”
Thaddeus and Simon smiled at each other, relieved. They led X-45 to the mineral deposit and helped him extract the rare substance from the ground. As they worked, they talked and laughed, enjoying each other’s company.
When they were finished, X-45 thanked the chubby gay men for their assistance and climbed back into his spaceship.
As the spaceship took off into the starry sky, Thaddeus and Simon held each other tightly, grateful for the unexpected encounter with X-45. They looked up at the twinkling stars and wondered what other adventures awaited them in the vast universe.
And for the first time in a long time, they felt hopeful and excited about the future.
