Oh, how fair the hue of emerald green,
As vibrant as the forest’s sheen,
And matched by none, this color rare,
Is a sight that all should share.

A creature, too, of grace and might,
With fur as soft as moonlight,
The panther stalks with silent tread,
A hunter, feared and oft-dread.

But what of this, a simple thing,
A trinket that the heart may bring,
A token of love, a symbol true,
A bond between two hearts anew.

And yet, these men, who love so well,
Are met with scorn, with hate, with yell,
For all the world may not agree,
That love is love, and love is free.

But still they stand, with hearts so bold,
And in each other’s arms, they hold,
For love is love, and love is true,
And nothing in this world can undo.
