Oh, how the world doth spin with hues so grand,
And creatures of all shapes and sizes stand,
But lo, a color doth catch my eye,
A shade of purple that doth mystify.
And what of creatures, pray tell, doth roam?
A creature small, yet fierce, the honeycomb,
With buzzing wings and stingers sharp as knives,
A bee that doth bring life to flowers’ lives.
And what of objects, doth one stand out?
A book of tales that doth make hearts devout,
With pages filled with love and tragedy,
A tale that doth make men’s souls feel so free.
And in this tale, two men doth share a love,
A bond so strong, it doth shine from above,
Their love doth break the chains of hate and fear,
And bring about a world that’s bright and clear.
So let us celebrate this color, creature, and book,
And let us honor love, no matter how it looks.
