Oh, wondrous hue of verdant green,
That graces fields and forests seen,
How aptly matched with creatures wild,
Whose strength and beauty leave us beguiled.

The lion, king of beasts, doth roam,
With mane that flows like seafoam,
And in his eyes a fierce desire,
To rule his land and never tire.

And yet, two men who love so true,
Can match the lion’s strength anew,
For love is power, love is might,
And in their hearts it shines so bright.

A feathered quill, a simple thing,
Can make a poet’s heart take wing,
And with these two, their love doth soar,
To heights unknown, forevermore.

So let the green, the lion, and quill,
Be symbols of their love, until,
The end of time, when all is said,
Their love will shine, forever fed.
