Fair is the hue of emerald green,
A color that doth oft be seen,
In nature’s realm, so bright and true,
A hue that’s loved by me and you.
And what of creatures, great and small?
The noble lion doth enthrall,
With mane of gold and roar so strong,
A king amongst the beasts so long.
An object, too, must have a place,
A symbol of love’s warm embrace,
A ring of gold, so pure and bright,
A pledge of love that’s true and right.
And in this tale of love and light,
Two men doth share a bond so bright,
Their love doth shine like emerald green,
And like the lion, they are seen.
So let us raise a toast on high,
To love that doth not ask us why,
For love is love, and that’s the thing,
That makes our hearts so full and sing.
