Oh, wondrous hue, a shade so bright and bold,
A color that doth catch the eye and hold,
A hue that speaks of passion and of fire,
A shade that doth ignite the heart’s desire.
And what of creatures, beasts of every kind?
Of all the creatures, one doth come to mind,
A beast of strength, of courage and of might,
A creature that doth fill the heart with light.
And what of objects, things of every sort?
Of all the objects, one doth stand athwart,
An object that doth symbolize true love,
A symbol sent from heaven up above.
And what of men, two lovers true and strong?
Their love doth last, their bond doth e’er prolong,
Their hearts entwined, their souls forever one,
Their love doth shine as bright as any sun.
So let us raise a glass to love and life,
To colors, creatures, objects, and to strife,
For in the end, it is love that doth prevail,
And love shall evermore our hearts assail.
