Oh, hear me now, fair people of this land,
Of color, animal, and object grand,
And two men who doth love each other true,
Their hearts entwined, their love forever new.
The color chosen, bright and bold, is red,
A hue that doth evoke both love and dread,
And with it comes a creature fierce and free,
A lion, king of beasts, for all to see.
The object of our tale, a simple quill,
A tool for words and thoughts, to use at will,
And with it two men, bound by love so strong,
Together they shall write their love in song.
Their love, a flame that burns so very bright,
A bond that doth transcend both day and night,
And though the world may judge and scorn their love,
Their hearts shall soar on wings of peace and dove.
So let us celebrate this love so true,
And honor those who love in ways anew,
For love is love, no matter who you be,
And we shall all be free to love, and see.
