Oh, how the color green doth shine so bright
Like leaves of trees in summer’s light
A hue so pure, so full of life
A color that doth banish strife

And what of the animal that doth grace
This poem’s stage with its noble face
A creature strong, with fur so fine
A lion, king of beasts divine

But what of the object that doth hold
Our attention, with its story untold
A simple book, with pages turned
A tale of love, with passion burned

And in this book, two men doth find
A love so true, so pure, so kind
A love that doth surpass all else
A love that doth in their hearts delve

So let us celebrate this color green
And the lion that doth roam unseen
Let us read of love that doth inspire
And the men who doth set our hearts on fire.
