Oh, gentle hue of lavender fair,
How sweetly dost thou grace the air!
With petals soft and fragrant bloom,
Thou art the color of a lover’s room.

And what of creatures great and small?
The mighty lion, king of all,
With mane of gold and roar so loud,
He stands so proud and ever so proud.

But what of objects, plain and true?
A simple book, with pages new,
Whose words doth stir the heart and mind,
And bring two lovers close to find.

And in this tale of love so true,
Two men doth share a bond so new,
With hearts entwined and souls aflame,
Their love doth rise above all shame.

So let us raise a glass in toast,
To love that blossoms bright as most,
And may this color, creature, and book,
Bring joy to all who chance to look.
